Vendor Testimonial: Vivienne Hardy – Balgowlah Heights

"I was disillusioned when going into the second round of selling my home, but engaging Hugo and Luljeta was the best decision I made. If I were ever to sell again, I would not be going through a three-part process; I would just pick up the phone and call Hugo and Luljeta."

I have three Russian Wolfhound’s (Borzoi), which I would run along Clontarf Beach on the Monash Crescent side some mornings. On one of these mornings, I saw that Etch Real Estate had recently sold one of the homes.

Having lived in the area for thirty years and with extended family close by, plus family in the Blue Mountains, I decided to divide my time between the two by downsizing to a smaller place in Balgowlah and purchasing a home in the Blue Mountains. So, when I was putting my house on the market, some twelve months later, I reached out to Etch.

I spoke with three real estate agents, one with a strong family association, another well-known agent in Seaforth, and Hugo and Luljeta. My gut told me to go with Hugo and Luljeta, but at the time felt I had to go with the agent with the family association. I wasn’t sure I was making the right decision, but I explained to Hugo that I had to go this way, and he told me their door was always open.

When the sale of my home wasn’t successful the first time, I gave Hugo a call. I was over the process and was reluctant to spend any more on styling because I had already gone down that route, but Hugo and Luljeta were wonderful. Luljeta did most of the styling, and the marketing was excellent. I have a very strong public affairs and marketing background, running my own business for thirty years, and I didn’t feel like I had to make any changes.

I told Hugo the price I wanted and that I wouldn’t negotiate on that. I didn’t have to sell, so I wasn’t going to move on the price, and neither Hugo nor Luljeta tried to move me on that. The house was on the market for about three to four weeks when a lady drove past at 7 pm and saw the sign, she rang Hugo, and it was exchanged the following day at the price I wanted.

Everything was effortless. Nothing was too much trouble, and it happened seamlessly. The network of support people Hugo and Luljeta have built is very strong, and the people in that network are very committed to them, so whatever Hugo and Luljeta ask for, they do.

I was disillusioned when going into the second round of selling my home, but engaging Hugo and Luljeta was the best decision I made. If I were ever to sell again, I would not be going through a three-part process; I would just pick up the phone and call Hugo and Luljeta.
