A well known staple at beaches throughout the Sydney area, The Boathouse is a resident and tourist favourite. The newest Boathouse opened in Shelly Beach this winter and I was able to take a moment and talk to the managers, Rob and Heath on day two in their new location. While any new business will need some fine tuning, the turnout on those first couple of days was spectacular and no wonder with such an ambient, relaxing environment for diners to enjoy – with a lovely outdoor waterfall, outdoor tables, and generally laid back environment that perfect matches the Northern Beaches.
The team was going for a vacation type of feel – one that meshes well with the brand of The Boathouse but also with the look and feel of the Northern Beaches and what people would expect to find on Marine Parade in Manly. The new location is open daily for both breakfast and lunch between 7am and 4pm and offers kiosk service as well as sit down café service.
Like The Boathouse locations in other parts of the region, you’ll also find a number of gifts and collections that you can buy both in person or at their website, and the location caters to multiple types of events – both corporate and weddings every evening after lunch service is finished.
When at the beach in or around Sydney, The Boathouse is one of those locations you should visit and it’s a pleasure to have a new location located in Manly along the Northern Beaches. The menu is available online and the kiosk and café are both open every day. Stop in and say hello to Rob and Heath and discover what makes The Boathouse such a lovely and inviting place to eat breakfast or lunch in the area.
